QB tune up

QB tune up
Yesterday was the end of the All Star Football Camp. At the end of the day they handed out the awards for Mr. Hustle, Mr. Fundamentals, Iron Man, and Most Improved Player. I got nothing. everyone else got trophies or medals or something. I got a piece of paper that states I won the pass, punt, and kick. I got a certificate, and everyone else got trophies and whatever. But the piece of paper did have Bill McGregords' signature on it, so it wasn't a complete loss. Oh, I almost forgot; on sunday I get to go to this QB tune up camp. Very expensive, very much worth it.

Sparq training with Nike

Sparq training with Nike
Today was the second to last day of camp. And today was especially special because Nike came. They timed all of us at the 40 yard dash, the Shuttle Drill, and (for some people) the Vertical Jump. In the Forty, I got 5.8, and in the Shuttle I got 6 flat. Because today was the almost end of camp day, they gave awards away to players who did really good for the week. Well, they didn't give the awards today, but did tell us who won what(like, the "Mr.Hustle award" and the Mr. Fundamentals award"). I won the Mr. Hustle award and got three Sparq training cones. The guest speakers for today were Elijah Wood and Jordan Scott "someone else" from yesterday was Anthony Perkins. Also today they had a punt, pass, and kick game... I won the pass, the punt, and came in fourth in the kick.

Football!!!

Football!!!
Today was another rough day of football camp. But it was fun. (1) Because two Pro football players came today, Dennard Web, and someone else. I got their autographs, but who can really read anybody’s signature? (2) Because today my team played another team. We won. After we got up three or four touchdowns the other team got discouraged and started blitzing (rushing) every play. This is really hard when you're QB. So after three plays of constant dippin' and slippin' and scramblin' away from anger driven linebackers, Mr. Webb comes onto the field. He says to me ( I didn't know who he was yet) "Kid you got an arm, so next time one of dem' come attcha, hit them in the head[with the ball]." I got advice from a Pro football player to hit a linebacker in the head. I took his advice.(3) Well, not every team at the camp has a star QB. Our team got lucky; they got me. Every one knows I can throw far, so the defense plays deep. There are three football fields at the camp so three games can be played at once. Our game was on the middle field. And halfway through our second game (we probably play two every day) I called a play called the "new hail mary". Everyone goes deep and I launch it to anyone who is open. And by launch, I mean 3/4 of the entire field. Because we play in the middle field, the two teams on the left and right can easily see what happens on the field beside them. We do the play and I throw it someone on the left field sees just how long it is and goes "ooooooohhhhhhh" and by the time our receiver caught it, everyone had joined in. The ball was caught by our receiver…. And even the coaches yelled “OOOOOHHHHHH”!!!!!! So by then it was time to head home. On the way home, I really got dad’s attention when I asked, “Dad, what’s my blood type?” Dad very calmly demanded to know why I needed to know what my blood type was. “Just asking”, I replied.

Site Meter

Site Meter
I finally got my sitemeter up. It was harder than I thought, but it's cool to have my own counter. Today also, we had some carpet cleaners come in... to clean carpets. Ha ha.Not funny. We got up at 7:30 AM to get "every last little thing" off the carpets,as mom kindly put it. But it, however worked out(as per usual).

Joni Eareckson Tada

Joni Eareckson Tada
When I met Mrs.Tada at FRC, I could hardly tell she had any disability. She held herself up high, spoke clearly, and made the room feel brighter.

More in Colorado Springs

More in Colorado Springs
I thought Colorado Springs was a small town with nothing there... but I was wrong. There's alot more than just Focus on the Family. There's the Air Force Academy, there's Pikes Peak, and Garden of the Gods. And then, there's always the GIANT magpies. But I still think Focus on the Family is the coolest(and I should know, cause' I'm all about being cool). I didn't put up the pictures of all the various studios until..... Now.
Did you here about the man who came into FOTF and took a few ladies hostage, then held off the police for six hours threatening to blow the building, and himself up. when he was waving the gun around he accidentally fired a shot and it hit the wall.

At Focus on the Family

At Focus on the Family
Focus on the Family is amazing. Today I got a tour of the building, shots of the various studios, and some great Odyssey audio tapes from Focus on the Family sound producer: Glenn Montjoy. Also, did I mention Garden of the Gods is awesome!?!?
You have to see it to beleve it. So, here....

Man, what a trip!

Man, what a trip!

Well, we arrived in Colorado. The plane ride was smooth, just like everything else. The first pic is me at the gate. The one underneath that is mom boarding the plane. The next one is so awesome;it looks like a bubblebath. But it's really clouds! After that is me in the pilot seat. The real pilot let me sit in his seat for a little bit. We took alot of pictures, so it was hard to find my favorites.I asked the pilot how much jet fuel cost by the gallon; I wish I hadn't.Seventy dollars a gallon.1,400 gallons on one small plane. Wow. Now 250 dollars for a round trip doesn't sound too bad.
